Our team in Jacksonville, Florida, gives your dog or cat the best possible start with wellness plans that align perfectly with our preventative care philosophy.
It has never been easier (nor more affordable) to maintain regular “well” visits and other essential preventive services, thanks to the four following categories of wellness plans: puppies, kittens, adult dogs, and adult cats. Within each category, there are additional options for plans that fit your budget and your pet’s unique needs and/or life stage. We offer “basic” and “plus” plans for puppies and kittens. We offer three different levels of wellness plans for adult dogs and cats, starting with the “basic care” plan. Pet parents may also opt for the “standard care” plan or our most comprehensive “intensive care” plan.
Both puppy “basic” and puppy “plus” plans cover the first nose-to-tail exam performed by our veterinarian, Dr. James Gillen. These plans also have your puppy “covered” for other services essential to their health during this pivotal growth stage. These services include core vaccinations, parasite screening and deworming, heartworm disease screening, comprehensive exams, and unlimited free office visits. Plus, any services not covered by your plan are eligible for generous discounts. These include medical needs like “pawdicures” (nail trims) and anal gland expression. Spaying and neutering is also a covered service for puppies enrolled in our “plus” plan. All steps in the spay or neuter are covered, from pre-medication to post-surgery recovery care.
Just as it is for human members of your household, health care for your pet is not a sprint, phase, or “one-off.” It is a journey. As your pet grows and its needs evolve, we can introduce you to our adult dog wellness offerings. Like with the puppy plans, these options are a cost-effective way to stay ahead of potential threats or risks to your pet’s health. For a predictable fee paid over 12 months at no interest, your dog is eligible for bi-annual comprehensive physical exams, vaccinations, parasite screening and deworming, and baseline diagnostics (like heartworm testing and bloodwork). Unlimited free visits and discounts for non-covered medical services still apply.
All of the above services are covered with each of the three plans. However, our clients may find our “standard” and “intensive care” plans to be of better value. The standard and intensive care plans also include urinalysis services, as well as dental “prophy” (or comprehensive teeth cleaning). All exams, lab work, anesthesia, and other associated needs with the prophylaxis are included within the plan. Unlike the basic and standard plans, the intensive care plan also includes a radiology package with X-rays based on your dog’s needs.
As noted, your friends at Orange Park Animal Hospital at Oakleaf also provide wellness plans for kittens and adult cats! We look forward to working with you to keep your favorite feline frisky and your canine bestie in tail-wagging good shape.
